With 750cc manufacture having all but disappeared, the Mylchreests Group Senior Race has adopted the spirit of new rules found at the TT making it a straight contest for Supersport machines.

However, the Supersport regulations have become highly detailed since the introduction of the 'Next Generation' machinery and it could be argued that the necessary homologation parts could be cost prohibitive to most privateer Manx Grand Prix competitors, so a more pragmatic set of rules is being applied for the category here.

There are no homologation parts and no varying weight limits, but it's in the interest of competitors to build a machine compliant with the TT regulations so that they can use the same bike should they wish to make the step up to the June event next year.
