The final qualifying session for the 2026 Manx Grand Prix got underway on Friday as riders headed out on track for the last time before the first two races of the meeting.
In some of the week's best weather the Sportsbike and Supersport machines headed out around the course in a delayed afternoon session.
Sportbike and Junior Qualifying
In the final qualifying for Saturday’s Sportbike race Liam Chawke notched the session's best lap with an average speed of 113.374mph.
Not far behind the Limerick man was Eddy Wormald on the number 6 machine with a best lap of 113.212mph just 1.7 seconds off Liam Chawke.
21-year-old Lee Hara continued to improve with the third best Sportbike time of the session with a best lap of 113.047mph.
Newcomer Kevin Lavery once again was the fastest of the debutants on the twins with a lap of 111.29mph which secured the fifth quickest time of the day.
Kyle Casement logged a best lap of 110.707mph to cement himself as the second fastest newcomer.
Fellow Manxman Illiam Quayle recorded a lap of 108.981mph to grab third fastest newcomer honours.
Supersport and Senior Qualifying
Two riders both clocked laps at over 120mph in the final Supersport session of the week.
The first and consistently the fastest man of the week so far, Johnny Stewart, recorded a blistering 120.593mph lap to set the fastest time of the week as he looks like the favourite heading into tomorrow’s race.
However the Scotsman will have some serious competition for the Geoff Cannell trophy for the winner of the Supersport race after Lee Hara recorded a fastest lap of 120.334mph.
Both men will be fiercely competing for the final spot in the Tommy Club in tomorrow’s race.
Chris Cook and Graham Mcaleese both lapped at over 117mph with laps of 117.684mph and 117.315mph respectively.
Laurent Hoffmann clocked a hugely impressive lap of 116.402mph to secure the fastest newcomer lap of the week in qualifying.
The German was closely followed by local lad Kyle Casement whose lap of 115.394mph was his quickest of the week and good enough for the tenth fastest time of the day.
Fellow newcomer Gabriel Pons also continued his quick start with a best lap of 115.198mph to finish qualifying week as the third fastest newcomer.
The first races of the 2026 Manx Grand Prix are due to get underway tomorrow with the Road Racing News Sportbike race setting off 10.15am followed by the Glover Law Supersport race at 2.15pm.
