SPEED SHADOWS TEAM RETURNING TO MANX GRAND PRIX

Following a successful 2023 Manx Grand Prix for Stefano Bonetti and the Speed Shadows Team, they will be returning to further improve at MGP 2024.

Since last year’s event, the Bimota YB4 E.I. A has been through significant changes and testing to optimise its performance on the Mountain Course, to give rider Stefano Bonetti the best bike to compete.

Work on the engine by Gianfranceso Bursi of Bursi Evolution, tested by Andrea Neri, has created an increase in the power but balanced with more reliability.

Not only that, the team have worked extensively to improve their branding and overall outfit, from the race truck through to the bike, for Bonetti and Bimota Classic Parts to represent Italy both on the Isle of Man during the racing and in the MGP Paddock, but also on the journey from Italy to the Isle.

Paolo Girotti, President of the Speed Shadows Racing Team and owner of Bimota Classic Parts commented: ‘Thanks to the success achieved by the team last year, this year’s sponsors are united in the desire to further the efforts of the team.

‘Many of the previous collaborations are returning together with new partnerships to see the Classic Bimota Motorcycles do even better, not just at the Manx but at motorcycle racing events worldwide.’

Bonetti has enjoyed long running good results on the Isle of Man Mountain Course, both at the Manx and the TT. At the 2022 MGP, Bonetti took home a second place in the Classic Senior, meanwhile, at TT 2024, he just missed out on a top 10 finish in the second Supertwin TT Race, finishing 11th.

Visitors to the Manx Grand Prix will be able to look forward to a visit to the team’s new awning where the Bimota YB4 E.I R 750 Superbike will be on display, and the team will be around to answer questions of fans about the stunning machine.
