MGP HIGHLIGHTS SHOWS ON ITV4
The TT Mountain Course is once again buzzing with activity, as the 2022 Manx Grand Prix got underway on Sunday 21st August, and after an action-packed four days of Qualifying, on Saturday 27th August the first three races of the event took place, the Dunlop Lightweight Manx Grand Prix, MGP Supporters’ Club Junior Manx Grand Prix and the Bremont Classic Senior Manx Grand Prix.
Fans of the Manx Grand Prix will be able to catch up with all the race action from home, as for the first time-ever, ITV4 will be showing all the highlights with two one-hour long programmes airing on Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd September at 8pm.
ITV4 Highlights show will be presented by Grace Webb, Dave Moore and two-time Isle of Man TT winner Cameron Donald.
Bringing all the racing action home will be presenters Grace Webb, Dave Moore and two-time Isle of Man TT winner Cameron Donald, who will be delving behind the scenes to bring fans all the insight and action from what’s set to be an incredible five races across the Bank Holiday weekend.
With a quality entry secured for the 99-year-old event, racing will see seven previous Isle of Man TT winners and 22 Manx Grand Prix winners’ line up ready to tackle the famous 37.73-mile course. TT legend Michael Dunlop leads the entry for the classic races and he's joined by the likes of Michael Rutter, James Hiller, David Johnson, Lee Johnston and Ian Lougher.
There are 23 newcomers entered across the five races flocking from the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, the USA, as well as local riders looking to make their mark. Meanwhile, the Senior and Junior Manx Grand Prix Races (for Supersport and Supertwin machines) will see some of road racing’s brightest prospects take on the Mountain Course with aspirations of following the long line of racers who have progressed to the Isle of Man TT Races.
